Get Inspired, Get Active & Get Phit!
I created Get Phit to help motivate and inspire women of all shapes and sizes to live and lead a health active lifestyle. I embarked on my fitness and health journey in mid 2011, as I woke up one day feeling very unhappy and decided to change how I felt by following two simple rules: eating healthy and exercising.
Women by their natures are quite different. We have different motivations, different ways of doing things and different pressures in our personal lives. From this I decided that I wanted to create a place where these differences can be explored, celebrated and supported. A place where women can share their stories, frustrations, challenges and successes and build a strong community that fosters an active, healthy lifestyle.
As Earl of Derby said, “those who do not find time for exercise will have to find time for illness”. If we continue to exercise with a fun approach and enjoy them, it will not be a burden or boring. A sound mind in a sound body is the motto of a healthy and satisfied life and to achieve that, it is important to make time for fitness because as we all know health is wealth.
I want to become a source of inspiration to others through phitness, health, knowledge and enthusiasm and to be a place for women to vent their frustration by supporting each other in a time of emotion and success. I believe women who live and lead an active lifestyle are more likely to be happier and healthier, thus understanding your body and loving yourself.
